A Kenyan landlord has put up his tenant’s underwear for auction because the young man did not pay his rent.
The auction notice was published in the local dailies on January 30, 2023, and has attracted the attention of social media users.
According to Kinsumi-based Nyaluoyo Auctioneers, they were mandated by the landlord of one Zachariah Sichenje Masika to auction the tenant’s properties.

The items consisted of four men’s underwear, four women’s underwear, 3 eye adhesives, 2 kids bag, 1 white cream, and 2 hip enlargements.
The Daily Nation reported that the public auction of the tenants’ items would take place at the firm’s yard in Kisumu, on Tuesday 7th of February, 2023, at 11:00 am.
The notice went viral and evoked hilarious reactions from social media users.
