Naija breaking new records: Paul Okoye buys N40,000 cash with N70,000

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Paul Okoye has revealed that he paid N70,000 to buy N40,000 cash of the new Naira notes.

The member of the P-Square music group expressed his surprise via his Instagram story on the 16th of February, where he explained that he had to pay almost twice the amount to get forty thousand Naira.

According to the singer, he needed the cash urgently to pay a specific visa fee and didn’t have a choice but to buy the money.

“Omoh I buy money today, Just because I have to pay for a certain vis fee in an embassy, and it has to be paid in cash. I bought 40k with 70k,” Paul recounted.

Femi Adebayo struggles to get the new Naira note

Meanwhile, Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo shared on social media his struggle to get the new Naira notes.

On his official Instagram page, Femi Adebayo recounted how hard it was to get the new N1000 notes at the bank.

He further explained that it was difficult to get meager things from market sellers because they do not accept transfers or have POS machines.
