Some popular Akwa Ibom celebrities have come out to defend the world-breaking record chef, Hilda Baci over her eating of dogs in her hometown.
Battabox reported that Hilda Baci made headlines for eating the popular delicacy in Akwa Ibom, 404 with a popular influencer, Enioluwa.
However, some netizens who claimed to be members of the community, ‘My Dog and I’ lambasted her for the butchering of dos and eating it.

Ever since then, news of the chef has been going around, in defence of Hilda Baci celebrities who hail from Akwa Ibom like, actor Okon, reality Tv star, politician Queen Mercy, and actress Eve Esin.
According to Okon, dog meat eating in Akwa Ibom and Calabar is not illegal, he added that the pet dogs are not killed and the wild are the ones that are used.
Queen Mercy also added that it was their culture in Akwa Ibok and it wasn’t a big deal, she jokingly said the food was approved by NAFDAC.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian woman who claimed to be the president of the ‘My Dog and I’ group has blasted the renowned chef, Hilda Baci for eating dogs.
Recall that the chef who broke the world record for the longest cooking hour took to her social media account to show the world she was trying several delicacies with Influencer, Eni at Akwa Ibom, her hometown.
However, the video met with some netizens backlash who lambasted her for encouraging dog meat eating.
