The Meta owned messaging platform, WhatsApp is reportedly down globally for some hours now. This is the first time since last year that the messaging platform is experiencing such an issue.

According to the Verge, the platform started experiencing issues at around 3AM ET, greeting users with a connecting message.

For WhatsApp web users, the platform has a signal message on the screen that says “Make sure your computer has an active internet connection” error.
