Singer Seun Kuti has stated that he would prefer young people engage in cybercrime aka Yahoo yahoo rather than gambling because gambling, in his opinion, was invented by Europeans to impoverish Africans.

According to him, the west has instilled in Africans a mindset of obsession with materialism, which has become a vice, but he believes that gambling is a far worse societal vice.
