From janitor to degree older: 43-year-old man bags university degree after serving as school janitor

Tylan Bailey, a remarkable 43-year-old American who formerly worked as a janitor at one of Georgia’s high schools, has earned his degree from Georgia State University.

He devoted 24 years to working as the Hightower Elementary School custodian in DeKalb County, Georgia, in the United States, with so much diligence and dedication. 

Yet, after working for a while, he was able to pursue his passion of becoming a teacher.

Bailey focused on his dream 

At Georgia State University in the United States, Bailey enrolled for a Bachelor’s degree in health and physical education and a minor in special education when she was 40 years old.

To pursue the teacher education program, Bailey completed courses at Georgia State University’s College of Education & Human Development.

Bailey reached his objective at 43 after juggling academic study with janitorial work for three years.

He told WSBTV:
I always wanted to be a college graduate. I always wanted to be a teacher. So having everything sink in at that moment was the best feeling I could ever have

Young lady pushes back after failing WAEC, emerges first class in Law

In another news, Naziha Amin Gombillah, a dedicated woman from Ghana, overcame obstacles to earn first class in law from university.

Naziha Amin earned an exceptional 3.74 grade points out of a possible 4.00 to earn a first-class Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Professional Studies (UPSA).

She was named the institution’s valedictorian as a result of this achievement.
