Google has partnered with Coinbase to accept cryptocurrency payments for its cloud services.
The Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a platform developed by Google to provide information technology services and products to businesses, IT professionals, and developers.
These services (over 90 in total) are deliverables that allow these professionals to work more efficiently, gain more flexibility, and gain a competitive advantage.
The platform also provides major services such as infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS). In addition, it provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) to users based on their primary computing requirements.
Google cloud services have grown steadily over the years. It accounts for nine percent of all revenue for Alphabet, Google’s parent company.
Three years ago, Alphabet’s revenue contribution from Google cloud was less than 6%.

It was also discovered that some of Google’s cloud services partners are cryptocurrency companies. So the company has decided to enable cryptocurrency as a payment option beginning early next year.
To enable crypto payments, Google will use Coinbase Commerce, a Coinbase solution for integrating cryptocurrency payments on websites.
“We want to make Web3 development faster and easier, and this partnership with Coinbase brings us one step closer to that goal,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud.
According to Amit Zavery, vice president, general manager, and head of the platform at Google Cloud, Google will soon allow many more customers to make cryptocurrency payments.
Coinbase Commerce currently supports ten currencies, including Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.
