Tom Cruise To Shoot First Outer Space Movie Ever

Hollywood star Tom Cruise is reportedly prepared to set a record as the first actor to shoot a movie in outer space.

The 60-year-old veteran will team up with The Bourne Identity director, Doug Liman, on a movie that involves filming in space.

The movie pitch was first tabled in 2020, but unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic halted preparations.

Battabox also gathered that Tom Cruise and his crew have reached out to Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) on an idea that takes him to the International Space Station in a rocket.

UFEG Chairman Donna Langley said:

I think Tom Cruise is taking us to space, he’s taking the world to space.

That’s the plan. We have a great project in development with Tom … Taking a rocket up to the Space Station and shooting.

Langley explained that most of the movie would be shot on earth, and afterwards, “the character [goes] up to space to save the day.”

She anticipates that Cruise will become “the first civilian to do a spacewalk outside of the space station.”
