Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, has stated that unlike in the past, northern governors and the North, in general, have embraced his restructuring plan.
According to Atiku, restructuring simply means giving states more powers and responsibilities while allowing them to carry out individual programs in their respective states.
The presidential candidate made the remarks while attending the Arewa Joint Committee interactive sessions on Saturday in Kaduna alongside other presidential candidates.

The former vice-president stated that one of his government’s goals was to increase revenue and taxation, thereby transitioning away from an oil-based economy by making agriculture a top priority by providing the necessary support to the North.
