Talented music icon, Davido has finally fulfilled his promise after he paid Chioma’s bride price in Imo State, Nigeria.
Congratulatory messages poured in after pictures taken during the ceremony surfaced online.
Several tubers of yam, drinks and other items were spotted as Chioma’s dad stood at the center, coordinating everything.

In the photos shared online, Chioma’s dad could be seen performing the Umunna and Umuada rites.
The second phase of an Igbo wedding is the Umunna rites, which involves a meeting between the groom’s family and the bride’s extended family.
This meeting is an opportunity for the groom’s family to reaffirm their desire to marry into the bride’s family in the presence of the bride’s Umunna (direct and extended family, including family elders). This rite is considered an important aspect of the wedding process.

Man asks fiancée to pay for N2.2m engagement ring
In another news, a Taiwanese man asked his fiancée to pay him for the expensive engagement ring he used in proposing to her.
The man bought a diamond engagement ring worth N2.2m and proposed to his long-term girlfriend, who happily said yes.
However, the man later asked his fiance to pay 50% of the money he used to buy the engagement ring.
