On Tuesday, news broke that music executive Soso Soberekon had filed a legal notice against his former friend and partner, Harrysong, for alleged defamation.
In an interview with OAPs Nedu and Husband Material on ‘The Frankly Speaking‘ podcast, Harrysong claimed that Soberekon tried to kill him, among other damning allegations.
During an interview session on ‘Friendship in the Entertainment Industry,’ Harrysong stated that many people believe Soberekon is his friend, but he is not.
In an interview, the ‘Reggae Blues’ singer stated that he is not friends with Soberekon.
Soberekon, a former manager of Kcee’s Five Star Music, claimed in an interview with PREMIUM TIMES that Harrysong, who recently released a song called ‘Chi Chon Thin,’ is like a brother to him.
Although the music producer has stated that he will not be giving any interviews about the matter, he has said that Harrysong’s allegations are false and misleading.
Soberekon has demanded a retraction from Harrysong through his legal representatives, No Limit Legal Partners.
He also demanded an apology and N500 million in damages for a “libellous publication.”
It also labelled Harrysong’s statement as false, devoid of any factual basis, but malicious in every material way.

Soberekon requests a retraction of the publication, as mentioned earlier, and an apology to be published in two major newspapers and several online news outlets within seven days of the letter’s delivery.
If he does not comply with the request, his lawyers, Clemens Beniamin, say they will be forced to go to court for exemplary damages for injurious falsehood and malicious publication.
Meanwhile, Harrysong insists that Soberekon publicly apologizes to him.
In an interview, the singer stated that he did nothing wrong by telling the truth to the public.
In addition to Soberekon, Harrysong has levelled serious allegations against his industry colleagues Skibii and Kcee.
Harrysong stated during the tell-all session that cultism is prevalent in the Nigerian music industry.
He also discussed his disagreement with Kcee, which led to his arrest.
When Harrysong was about to leave his former music group, Kcee Presh, he begged record producer Del B to believe in him.
He also stated that when he began his solo career, he wrote and recorded songs for Kcee.
