A 97-year-old man finally said ‘i do’ to his wife after he lived his entire life without a spouse.
The man identified as Johanna Arap Butuk finally found love at the old age of 97 and decided to marry his lovely bride in a colourful ceremony.
The ceremony took place on January 14, 2022 in Soy, Uasin Gishu County, Kenya and videos shared on Twitter.
He yielded to pressure after seeing nephews and nieces marrying
A family member of the groom, Sally Chepkoech revealed Butuk had never been married. She also happy he finally happy he found the love of his life.
“It was a big wedding ceremony and it was even presided over by priests of the Catholic church.”
Sally shared that the nonagenarian finally bowed to pressure after he saw his nephews and nieces getting married.
Sally who addresses Johanna as father said the 30-year-old woman was equally happy to be married. She would have someone to look after her four children.
She finally noted that the entire family was happy he found a wife after decades of being a bachelor.
