Melissa, having recently completed her Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, was elated to have the opportunity to represent her nation and make her presence known in arenas where African women of color are underrepresented.

Her academic journey commenced at the University of Cape Town in South Africa, where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Science, specializing in Accounting and Finance. Expanding her knowledge, she also pursued studies in Business Management and Entrepreneurship at The African Leadership University.

Melissa’s outstanding achievements led her to clinch the prestigious China Schwarzman Scholarship, a fully-funded program open to international students aiming to pursue a Master’s degree in China.

This scholarship facilitates a year-long intensive master’s curriculum at Beijing’s Tsinghua University, fostering a global network of aspiring leaders who aspire to serve on an international scale.

Masters student spent N4.2m flying to school

Recognizing the exorbitant rental prices in San Francisco compared to his more affordable living situation in Los Angeles, he decided to take flights three times a week instead.
