Funke Akindele, a well-known Nollywood actress and producer, clapped back at a fashion critic who criticized her outfit at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Despite being nominated in various categories, she confidently rocked an elegant teal dress at the event on May 20th.
In addition, she posted captivating photos of herself from the highly anticipated annual award ceremony on her social media page, expressing her best wishes to herself. Captioning the post, she said, “#agratefulheart Goodluck Olufunke Omo Akindele!!”

However, one of her followers had a different opinion and didn’t hesitate to voice it. The fashion critic claimed that the dress was overly revealing and not appropriate for someone who is a mother and a role model to numerous women globally.
Cautioning her gently, the fan wrote, “U are beautiful naturally but the dress is too revealing and try to cover it, u are mother and our role model to us ma.”
To the surprise of a few Funke Akindele, a mother of two, saw the comment and responded to the follower sarcastically. In her own words, she said, “Ok sir. I will tell my tailor now.”
