APC Made Itself Enemy Of The People-DALUNG

Former Minister of Youths and Sports in Nigeria, Hon. Solomon Dalung has said that the All Progressive Congress has failed.

Former Minister of Youths and Sports in Nigeria, Hon. Solomon Dalung has said that the All Progressives Congress has failed.

Hon. Dalung said the party has not met the yearnings and expectations of Nigerians.

Hon. Dalung who spoke exclusively to BattaBox on Friday had this to say.

“The APC has failed Nigerians woefully, when we came in we told Nigerians we were going to fight corruption headlong, tackle insecurity and activate economic recovery” Dalung said.

Hon. Dalung also gave reasons why he had to leave the party.

Hon. Solomon Dalung says the APC has declared itself enemy of the People

“It’s like Nigerians are so used to the word former, they like using it in everything they say. If we are not careful we may have a former candidate of heaven in Nigeria someday. I was a founding member the APC and left only after about seven years and a few months. So I can’t be described as former”.
“I only just left the party for now based on internal contradictions within the party. And their inability to domesticate internal democracy and with the upsurge of impunity”.

“All these things were what actually motivated us to come together to form the APC. So that we can entrench an egalitarian society based on democratic values, but then when this eluded APC and eluded every reasonable effort to get the party leaders to appreciate where we are coming from it became imminent that there isn’t any need again to belong to such political arrangements. After all, political parties are associations based on interests, based on principles, based on ideologies. After all, politics is about selfless service”. It’s only in Nigeria that politics is a gateway to becoming artificial billionaires. But elsewhere around the world politics is for selfless service”.

Dalung said he had to leave the party for several other reasons.

He also condemned the APC’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket. He said the party has made itself enemy of the people by charting such a dangerous cause. And that decision will possibly deprive the party from winning the 2023 presidential election.

He also described President Muhammadu Buhari as a good man but he dishes out instructions without following up.

He said that is his biggest problem with Mr. President. And as a result of not following up, some persons within the presidency have used this lapses to their advantage and launched impunity at the highest level.

He concluded by saying the future of Nigeria lay in the hands of Nigerians. Particularly the youths who constitute the majority of the electorate.

BattaBox had reported in late September when
Hon. Dalung insisted President Buhari was an Incorruptible Leader.
