Harrison Okiri, better known as Harrysong, a Nigerian singer, has backtracked on his allegations against music executive Soso Soberekon.
During an interview on the Frankly Speaking podcast, Mr Songz, as he is also known, accused Soberekan of hiring assassins against him.
“You’ll say Soso an, my friend, if you see Soso now.” Soso is not my friend; he is my adversary. He dispatched people to kill me in Port Harcourt, no joke. “Ask my team, ask everyone,” he said in last week’s episode.
However, the singer retracted his statement in a video posted on his Instagram page on Saturday.
He also assured fans that he had reconciled with the music executive.

“Regarding the video that went viral last week depicting a group of boys attempting to take my life, yes, it was true. It was a group of boys who were duped, and I now know that it wasn’t Soso who sent them.
“I and Soso(sic) are fine now,” he said. “Thank you to everyone who reached out.”
Harrysong’s new statement follows his arrest by Nigerian authorities on Tuesday. After landing in Lagos, the singer was picked up at the airport and taken into custody.
