Controversy surrounded BBNaija ex-housemate Beauty Tukura’s win as the Best Dressed Female at the 2023 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA).
During an interview on Stephanie Coker’s Meherandeverthingelsepod, Beauty shared her surprise at winning the award, as she had initially presented an award that night, which she felt was already a significant moment.
Being her first AMVCA experience, receiving an award onstage felt awkward, especially when she wasn’t aware of her win beforehand.

No amount of crying will change it
However, Beauty revealed that the reactions to her victory were mixed, with some people criticizing and dragging her, believing she didn’t deserve the award.
Beauty explained that it took her some time to realize that the category was based on voting, and she believes her fans supported her passionately because they couldn’t vote for her during her time in the BBNaija house, where she was disqualified.

Meanwhile, Actor, Uche Maduagwu, revealed that 80 per cent of his female colleagues and former BBNaija Housemates are being bankrolled by wealthy married men.
Taking to Instagram, he expressed surprise at the number of ladies who flaunt their wealth on social media while being involved with married men.
Maduagwu cautioned people against envying or imitating what they see on social media, emphasizing that not everything portrayed is genuine.
