Beyonce Donates £8,000 to Support a Nigerian Restaurant in North London

American singer and businesswoman, Beyonce Knowles-Carter, has donated £8,000 to a Nigerian restaurant in North London almost on the verge of closure due to rising energy bills.

The restaurant was among the ten businesses selected to receive a grant from Beyonce’s BeyGOOD foundation as part of her Renaissance World Tour.

The foundation pledged to donate a portion of $1 million to businesses in various cities worldwide, and Chuku’s was fortunate to be included in the top ten.

Beyonce’s BeyGood Foundation established the Black Parade Small Business Impact Luncheon to support and celebrate small businesses affected by economic inequities.

During the event, held at the Four Seasons in Tower Hill, over 100 entrepreneurs had the chance to win £806,000 in prizes.

The foundation, which aims to assist communities and businesses, has been a source of relief for Chuku’s amidst the challenges posed by lockdowns and the cost of living crisis.

Grateful for the grant, Emeka and Ifeyinwa expressed their appreciation and acknowledged the difficulties they have faced in keeping the restaurant operational.

They shared their determination to continue celebrating Nigerian culture and serving their community.

The support from Beyonce’s foundation has given them renewed hope and a fighting chance to sustain their business on Tottenham’s High Road.
