Comedian Mr Jollof Claims He Was Used by APC

  • Mr Jollof has openly expressed feeling used and abandoned by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
  • He switched his allegiance to former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who is the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2023 elections.

Mr Jollof, the Nigerian comedian whose real name is Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi, has candidly expressed his sense of being exploited and left behind by the ruling APC.

Although he was once a staunch supporter of President Bola Tinubu and the APC, Mr. Jollof later shifted his loyalty to Ifeanyi Okowa, the former Governor of Delta State and the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP for the 2023 elections.

In a trending video, Mr Jollof humorously mocked Nigerians over the current fuel price hike and the prevailing economic hardships.

He stated that he had warned the citizens to stop supporting the APC after his defection, but his advice was not taken seriously by many.

Speaking in Pidgin English, the comedian shared his experience, saying he initially supported Tinubu but noticed the opportunistic nature of some individuals within the APC ranks.

Grateful for finding guidance in the Bible’s parable of the lost son (Luke 15:1-32), he decided to realign himself with Ifeanyi Okowa, who welcomed him with open arms.

Mr Jollof’s video resonated with many as he highlighted the adverse impact of the fuel price hike on ordinary Nigerians.
