In a heartbreaking saga, a daring 19-Year-old boy faked his kidnap but tragically lost N365,000 ransom to ruthless thieves.
From the Daily Trust Newspaper, Nafiu Sulaiman, a 19-year-old boy, was apprehended by the police for orchestrating his own kidnapping and extorting a sum of N365,000 from his unsuspecting uncle.
Confirming the arrest, Commissioner of Police Muhammad Usaini Gumel shed some light on the investigation. It was revealed that the teenager confessed to masterminding the entire scheme as a means to acquire money for personal expenses.

Daring 19-Year-old boy faked his kidnap
Sulaiman admitted to staging his abduction and hiding in an unfinished building for several days, hoping to gain the financial means to purchase clothes and other desired items.
However, Sulaiman’s plan took an unfortunate turn when the ransom money he had received was stolen from him. The teenager found himself at the mercy of heartless thieves, leaving him empty-handed and exposed.
The deceitful act not only resulted in the loss of his uncle’s hard-earned money but also shattered the trust that once existed within their familial relationship.

In other news, the Nigeria Police Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB-IRT) arrested four kidnap suspects for the kidnap of a popular businessman’s wife, Mrs. Hussana Adamu.
Hussana was kidnapped eight months ago by the kidnap syndicate and a sum of N20 million naira ransom was demanded before she could be released.
She was released a week later after the payment was made. However, her suspected kidnappers have now been arrested.
