Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, was born on November 11, 1992, in Lagos, Nigeria. She was the second of four children of Nigerian businessman Femi Otedola and his wife.

She is the eldest sister of Temi Otedola and Fewa Otedola, as well as the first child born to Femi Otedola and his second wife, Nana Otedola. Fewa Otedola is her brother. She was the middle child of five children in her family.

Cuppy lived in Ilupeju for six years before moving to Ikeja. She grew up in Lagos until 13 before relocating to London.
