Ngozi Kekwaru, a member of staff at the Eko Hotel and Suites, received a scholarship for her master’s degree from Chidi Lloyd, the chairman of her local government area, in exchange for returning $70k (more than N55 million) that a customer misplaced.
Ngozi, who was born in the Rundele community in the Emuoha local government area (LGA) of Rivers State, revealed this in a Facebook post on Sunday while sharing a video from a trip to her hometown.
Ngozi was introduced by Chidi Lloyd, the chairman of Emohua LGA, as the local government’s ambassador during a ceremony on August 3 that was held at the council.

She also presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a one-kilometer Omkpoba-Mgbere road in the Ibaa settlement of the local government.
Ngozi was swarmed by residents of her hometown as she graced the event in style in the video she shared.
Ngozi sobbed as her neighbourhood celebrated her for her integrity, which later propelled her into the spotlight and brought her great rewards.
On Facebook, an emotional Ngozi gave people advice, saying that doing good pays off and that they shouldn’t assume that their efforts are going unnoticed.

Davido Pledges $10,000 to Honest Eko Hotels Staff
Meanwhile, David Adeleke, the renowned music icon known as Davido, has vowed to give a generous $10,000 reward to Eko Hotel and Suites employee, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary.
Her act of remarkable honesty in returning $70,000 to its rightful owner in Lagos has earned her widespread acclaim and recognition.
Expressing his admiration for Ngozi Mary’s integrity, Davido took to his official Twitter account and posted, “Find her for me … I donate $10k.”
