James Mafabi, a Ugandan man proposed to his now-British wife, Gemma Bevington, four days after meeting her.
James saw her for the first time at a function where he was one of the service providers in charge of videography and photography.
He mentioned that immediately he saw her something in his heart told him ‘that’s your wife’ and he acted on the word and gave her his number.

I was confident
James confessed in an interview with Monitor magazines that he has always prayed to God for a white wife and indeed God answered him.
When he met the oyinbo lady, he told her immediately that he would one day marry her (Gemma) but she didn’t believe him.
Gemma, who said she has been attracted to James from the get-go communicated with him for four days via WhatsApp because they somehow did not see each other until the fourth day he proposed.
“After meeting her at the function, we spent the evening together. We would then drive to Kampala the next day and before she flew out on the fourth day, I surprised her with a marriage proposal and she said yes,” James explained.
They both decided on their wedding date when Gemma was in the United Kingdom and James in Uganda.
The lovebirds got married on December 16, 2022, and James described their wedding as a very smooth affair.
