A Nigerian man paid an agent N15 million to get him a job and a visa for Canada, but things didn’t work out the way he had hoped.

The man was promised a visa to Canada for himself and his family after paying an initial sum of N5 million.

He only received a job assignment letter after a few months later, which the agent claimed would allow him to work in Canada.

When that happened, the travel agent vanished. He went to another agent with the job offer letter since he was unsure of what to do.

Shasha wrote on TikTok:

“Beware of Fraudulent Agents! Don’t be fooled by empty promises! This man paid 15M to relocate his family to Canada for work, only to be scammed with a fake job offer. Stay vigilant, the streets are not smiling.”

The new agent applied for the man’s Canadian visa using the job offer letter, but the embassy investigation revealed that the job was a fraud.

Both a visa denial and a five-year entry ban were imposed on the individual.

The individual received the fake job offer letter unintentionally from the travel agent, and the ban is a consequence for it.
