Lexie Jones, an African American girl celebrated two successes as she graduated not only as the best graduating student but also the youngest in her school.
The exceptional African American lady said to be 15 years old graduated from Thompson High school, Alabaster, which witnessed their first-ever youngest graduate since its inception.
According to her, graduating from high school at an early age was not one of her high school goals even though she had skipped kindergarten.

Lexie Jones breaks record as the youngest graduate
However, it was her counselor that had guided her into seizing the opportunity after speaking with her.
In her words:
“I just kind of took that opportunity, but it wasn’t something I ever planned on doing.”
She also revealed how stressful her last days in high school were, and how she had to study harder for her upcoming exams.
“These last few weeks have kind of been more stressful than other few weeks, I’ve had to study for my AP test and my final exams so, it’s a little bit more studying than other weeks,’’ she said.
She also mentioned how enthusiastic she is about her academics in the future. She can’t wait to see what the future holds for her.
“I’m not as nervous as I used to be, I’m kind of more excited now. It’s like a new chapter and I’m just excited to see what comes next for my future,” she said.
