The National Awards Ceremony was held today, October 11, in Abuja.
Notable Nigerians who have carved a niche in different sectors of the country received awards from President Muhammadu Buhari at the ceremony.
Some of the awardees include; Senate President Ahmed Lawan, Ooni of Ife HRM Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, and Olu of Warri HRM Ogiame Atuwatse III.

- State Chief of Protocol Amb. Lawal Kazaure
- EbonyLife CEO Mo Abudu
- Special Adviser Media & Publicity Mr Femi Adesina
- SA Presidential Matters Sabiu Tunde
- Imam Abdullahi Abubakar (Imam who saved 300 Christians in Plateau State).
Lawan was awarded the Honour of Grand Commander of the Order of Nigeria (GCON).
The Ooni of Ife and Olu of Warri was honoured with Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR)
Imam Abubakar and Adesina received the Honour of Officer of the Order of Nigeria (OON).
Kazaure got the Honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).
