Resilient Nigerian lastborn set on a quest to reunite with family, over 29 years now

For nearly three decades, Adewole Idowu Oluwatobi had been on an unyielding quest to locate his family, from whom he was separated at the tender age of five months following his parents’ separation.

In a heartfelt message, the 29-year-old disclosed his father’s name, Adefalu Adewole, and introduced his siblings: Monday, the eldest, and identical twins Taiwo and Kehinde.

Nigerian lastborn set on a quest to reunite with family

Describing his mother, Adeyemi Funke, as hailing from Kogi state, Kabba, and his father from Ogun state, Ilaro, he provided a vivid picture of their past residence at 23, Abeokuta Street, Alakija, Mushin, Olosha-Bus Stop, Lagos State in the year 1987.

The journey to reunite with his family has been a long and challenging one for Idowu. He narrated how his father started his own business, Adesco Electrical Works, in Lagos after being laid off from his NEPA job in Ilorin.

Despite persistent efforts to reconnect with his father and siblings, initiated even during his teenage years, the graduate has faced repeated disappointment.

Expressing his pure desire to experience the feeling of having a family, Idowu attached pictures of his parents to the message sent, making it clear that he seeks nothing material from them, only the solace of reuniting with his loved ones.

Twins finally reunite after being apart for many years

In other news, a touching video of a woman and her twin brother reuniting after being separated for many years went viral.

Patriciaboity, a South African woman, announced on her Tiktok page that she had contacted her twin.

In the video she shared, she paid a visit to her twin in the dilapidated flat he was living in.
