UK choke oo: Nigerian man laments after buying half tuber of yam for N4k

A Nigerian man came on social media to rant after he saw a half-tuber of yam for an outrageous amount.

In a viral TikTok video posted by @mc_2mic, the man who resides in the UK entered a supermarket to do some groceries shopping.

On getting to the section for yams, he picked up a half tuber of yam, labelled with a £5 price tag. £5 is equivalent to almost N4,000.

The man said that Nigerians are enjoying and that the West African nation is a good country.

He said all of these because his opinion is that yams and other things are cheaper in Nigeria than in the United Kingdom.

Reaction: Come Back Home Nah

While reacting to the video, many netizens said the yam was not expensive but it is because the Naira has lost its value.

One @Owolabi said, “But u dey collect better salary abi come back,” while @Crownstar said, “normally e no cost na naira no get value???.”

The caring man picked different ingredients to make some delicious Nigerian soups like ogbono, vegetables, and Egusi.

As he landed in the foreign country, he and his oyinbo babe engaged in a warm embrace and were excited to see themselves.
