A Nigerian student, Oluwakorede Adedeji emerged as the best graduating student in University of Illorin with a 4.96 CGPA.
Korede graduated as the best student in Pharmaceutical sciences for the 2020/2021 academic session.
In an interview with Yusuf Abdulkadir, Korede spoke on his academic journey and how he managed to achieve such a feat.

Korede expressed that he was excited and honoured to be awarded the best graduating student and was grateful he was a pharmacist.
Academics and relationships are equally important
He recounted that pharmacy was always his first choice to study and expressed that he enjoyed the practicals above every other thing.
He spoke about striking a balance between academics and relationships as both were important to him.
“On a scale of 1 – 10, I would say my social life was a 5. Academics are just as important as relationships and friendships. I think I tried to set a balance that would not adversely affect my performance.” He said.
In total, Korede received 14 awards from the different departments he took courses in.
He also engages in skill acquisition activities and learn to sew as well as develop a design and innovative thinking.
He advised students never to set limits for themselves, rather they should set goals and always remember to pray.

Meanwhile, an intelligent Nigerian lady, Chisom Okoye bagged a bachelor’s degree and emerged as the best graduating student of English Language at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
