No Fuel Palava! Nigerian man shows off electric minibus, urges people to switch from gasoline to electric motors

A Nigerian man posted a video showing a minibus with an electric motor instead of a petrol engine.

The video was posted by a user identified as @charleyman8 where the man explained how much charge the car can hold at a time and stated the running time is between seven and eight hours. 

The charging outlet by the side of the bus was filled with a charger that was attached to the meter. A sign outside the station stated that power was being distributed for N150 per kilowatt.

To capture the invention, some people gathered around the charging truck.

The car was parked in front of the meter as if it were a gas station. More people were urged to switch from gasoline to electric motors by a voice speaking from behind the camera. 

The video sparked a lot of responses, and commenters voiced their opinions in the comment area.

A clever Nigerian guy decided to look for alternative source of electricity since he was tired with the electricity situation in his community.

A solar generator was quite costly, so the Tik-tok user @geepeezee_manii then learned more about how to make his own.

He claimed that he used more than 400 lithium batteries to build his device. He informed people he had been using it for more than two days without charging it after manufacturing it.
