Popular Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke professionally known as Davido, is confirmed to perform at the closing ceremony of the ongoing FIFA world cup in Qatar.
Davido’s team confirmed this as gathered by Battabox reporters, that all preparations are in place for the December 18 showdown.

Recall that the crooner was scheduled to rock the stage during the opening ceremony but couldn’t show up because of his son, Ifeanyi’s death.
It is a standing tradition that whoever sings the FIFA world cup theme song, performs at the venue of the ceremony.
Since Davido collaborated with Aisha and Trinidad Cardona to release the World Cup anthem for Qatar 2022 ‘Better Together’, he will now perform at the closing ceremony next week.
The internationally recognised artiste will be showing his face on the stage for the first time since the demise of his son.
The Nigerian singer and songwriter had been absent on social media since the tragedy befell him and postponed all of his shows until 2023.
He even postponed his 30th birthday celebration which he had earlier posted on social media and planned for.
Davido’s lovers and 30BG fans gathered to honour him and pay tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke on Thursday night, December 1.

Meanwhile, Battabox reported that many reactions trailed popular Nigerian musician, Davido and his fiancée, Chioma after they appeared publicly for the first since the death of their son, Ifeanyi.
