Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Seun Kuti, has responded to allegations of physically and verbally assaulting his wife.
In a viral video showing an altercation with a police officer, many speculated that his wife was a victim of domestic violence.

However, Seun Kuti, during an Instagram live session, refuted these claims and stated that it is he who is afraid of his wife, not the other way around.
He emphasized that his wife is not scared of him and that those spreading rumours envy their communication and respect for each other.

Seun Kuti also clarified that he has never hit his 9-year-old daughter.
Addressing the specific incident captured in the viral video, he mentioned that his wife willingly got into the car when he asked her to do so.
