The 39-year-old list was prepared by a Nigerian who went to the market to buy things to restock the kitchen.

The photo of the list was uploaded on Facebook by @Correct Bro and immediately stirred reactions nationally.

Shopping list made in 1984 leave Nigerians in shock

The list was dated August 8, 1984 and the items it purchased included foodstuff and washing soaps.

The most expensive item on the list was labelled “Mama” and N20 was allocated to it. Thus was followed by yam, which was N14.

At the end of the list, some change was left, as the spender only made use of N94.70k.
