A Nigerian man ignited debate on Twitter after sharing his thoughts on couples who just had a baby.
The user @seyedele suggested on Twitter that individuals visiting new parents should offer money to the men rather than the moms.
In his defense, he claimed that given the strain of caring for a newborn, women rarely recall who gave them money.

The father might as well take the child
He shared that mothers are only concerned with the sympathies and compliments they receive.
In his own words:
“Unpopular opinion: it’s the father you should give the envelope of money when visiting a couple who just had a baby, not the mother.
“If you ask any mother what she remembers most from when her baby was brand new, it’s the words of encouragement, empathy and being present. Not the 5k new notes that Baba Dayo squeezed inside her hand.”
However, his tweet incited an uproar on Twitter as netizens didn’t quite agree with him.
@dondekojo said: “I’ve never given the father anything, make e go work. Gift for baby (Pampers and baby wipes) cash and drinks for mother.”
@ireoluwatunde01 wrote: “This one is a lie o! I remember every money my child was given o! And I know the faces of the givers. Don’t mind awon Okunrin o!”
@samuel_ukoha commented: “At this point, I think the father should just carry the baby.
You people are annoying.”
@iamkaylion added: “Even me as the father will point to the mother.”

Meanwhile, the video of a baby born with teeth in the lower part of the gum has shocked everyone.
The newborn has two sets of sparkling white teeth.
In the short clip, the woman and another lady who was recording her were looking at the baby in surprise.
