Nigerian music producer, Samklef has claimed that he and Wizkid are the original creators of the new afrobeat sound.
He stated this via his Twitter handle on Thursday in reaction to the ongoing supremacy battle in the Nigerian music industry.

The music guru countered Davido’s claim that he and Wizkid were the first young Nigerian artistes to hit stardom.
The producer said Wizkid and Olamide were actually the kids that first blew up in the Nigerian music industry before Davido came into the spot as well.
Sharing a throwback picture of himself and Wizkid, he wrote, “The original creators of the new Afrobeat sound! Nack ur head for wall when u see this post. Samklef x wizkid. Go do ur home work guys. Google is there to help u. Aw! Aw!” (sic)
