A 22-year-old female truck driver named Ademola Omolade has revealed that despite her expertise in operating a 22-tire vehicle, she struggles with driving a regular car.
Hailing from Osun State and residing in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, Omolade has gained significant attention online due to her remarkable driving skills.
In a recent interview with THE PUNCH, Omolade shared her experiences, challenges, and unique circumstances as a young woman driving a truck.

She was guided by her parents’ encouragement
Omolade embarked on her driving journey at the age of 19, guided by her parents’ encouragement to pursue a trade after completing her secondary education. While her parents suggested careers in hairdressing or tailoring, she had no interest in those fields.
During a visit to her aunt’s place in Lagos State, she discovered that her aunt’s husband worked as a truck driver. When her uncle was assigned two trucks, he asked if she could assist him in managing them, and she eagerly accepted. It was during this time that she developed a passion for driving trucks, which marked the beginning of her journey as a truck driver.
Regarding her lack of experience in driving a four-wheeler vehicle, Omolade said:
“People find it funny that I can drive an articulated vehicle which has 22 tyres but I can not drive a car which has four tyres.”
