Police are reportedly investigating the case of a woman who accused her husband of raping their 5-year-old daughter in South Africa.
Police are investigating after a woman accused her husband of raping their 5-year-old daughter on Sunday night, October 9.
This was revealed on Sunday night, October 9, by Prem Balram from Reaction Unit South Africa.
The unit reportedly received a call for assistance at past 10 pm. Prem explained that the child’s mother told Reaction Unit officers that she was asleep with her 5-year-old twins, a boy, and a girl, when her husband arrived home drunk.

She told officers that when she woke up she discovered her husband raping her daughter.
The woman forced him off the child and he began assaulting her. He then fled the residence in an unknown direction.
She thereafter called a teacher from her daughter’s school who contacted RUSA for assistance.

He noted that the 37-year-old mother and her daughter were taken to the Tongaat SAPS, where they opened a case.
Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala, Provincial police spokesperson, confirmed the incident.
Gwala said:
“It is alleged that on 9 October 2022 at 21:00, a five-year-old female was allegedly raped by a known suspect at her place of residence in Tongaat.
“The case was opened at Tongaat police station and the docket was transferred to Phoenix Family Violence, Child Protection and s3xual Offences Unit for further investigation.”
