Asake Makes History with Most Headies Nominations for Debutant Artist

Buzzing singer, Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake has set a new record as the debutant artist with the most Headies nominations.

Notably, Asake is the first artist to receive such a substantial number of nominations in their debut year at the Headies.

His nominations span across various categories, including “Next Rated” and “Best Male Artiste of The Year,” making him the first artist to be nominated in both categories simultaneously.

Among his other nominations are Song of The Year for the “Sungba” Remix featuring Burna Boy, Digital Artiste of The Year, Best Collaboration for “Bandana” with Fireboy DML, Album of The Year for “Mr Money With The Vibe,” Best Street-Hop Artiste for “Joha,” and Headies Viewer’s Choice for the “Sungba” Remix featuring Burna Boy.

Asake’s record-breaking nominations position him as the artist with the second-highest number of nominations at the 16th Headies, just behind Burna Boy, who secured 11 nominations.
