It is a black Christmas for the family of Omobolanle Raheem, a lawyer who was shot dead by a policeman while coming back from church service.
The Nigerian police force has arrested the officer from Ajiwe police station in Ajah in Lagos state for allegedly killing the lawyer.
The late Barrister Omobolanle Raheem was a member of the Lagos Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and was in the car with her husband when she got shot.

In a tweet, Yvonne, a lawyer who claimed to be working for the deceased, recounted the events.
The deceased was returning from the church under the Ajah bridge and near the police station when the incident occurred.
As Yvonne recounted, some policemen had asked Raheem’s husband to park on the highway.
After they parked the vehicle, the officer shot at her chest at close range, and the others absconded.
Unidentified killer policeman has been arrested
Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that the police officer believed to have shot Raheem and the other two have been arrested.
He said they would be moved to SCID for further investigation and sent his condolences to the deceased’s family, friends, and colleagues.

Police Arrests father for setting his 5 stepchildren ablaze
In another news, Ojo Joseph, a 54-year-old man, was arrested by the Ondo State Police Command for allegedly setting fire to his five stepchildren.
The tragic incident occurred in the Fagun Crescent area of Ondo town, the headquarters of the state’s Ondo West Local Government Area.
According to a source in the area, the man committed the heinous act because the children’s mother allegedly denied him s3x, and they had misunderstandings about the issue.
