Child entrepreneur receives award scholarship for feeding kids using business proceeds

A young entrepreneur identified as Zita Ejike received an award scholarship for massive help rendered to kids through her business proceeds.

According to the 12 year old Kidpreneur, she started surviving while striving to ensure children from the kids were fed in 2020 when she was just 9 years old. 

She indicated her interest in the production of natural skin and hair care products and pushed through for it, later starting a company named ZEE SHEA HUB.

She used what’s left of the business proceeds to feed and clothe the less privileged, as this has been part of her lifetime goals.

Amazingly, Airtel Nigeria, one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country, recognized the good she had done and awarded her with scholarships.

“We are inspired by Zita Ejike, a 12-year-old Kidpreneur, who has positioned herself as a true example to the world that everyone can make a difference, regardless of age.”

In a statement released, the company announced that they are supporting Zita’s dream with high technological tools such as high-performance electronic equipment for her Shea butter business, including a 100 kg digital computing scale, a 20 tray shrink wrap packaging machine, a 1000–10,000-liter industrial liquid mixing machine, and more.

They had also given her a N500,000 scholarship award to further her academics.

“We also gave her a cheque of N500,000 in the form of an education scholarship to encourage her to keep making an impact in the community. “

Meanwhile, Richard Jenkins, a homeless 18-year-old American boy has overcome life’s hurdles to gain a full scholarship to the prestigious Harvard University.

Jenkins faced a truckload of difficulties growing up, medical emergencies, harassment from his classmates, and poverty – the most prominent. Due to foreclosure, his family lost their home and ended up being homeless for years. This forced them to move to Tennessee and then to Florida before heading back to Philadelphia.

In an interview with CNN, he said “that was what triggered me that I needed to chase something. No matter what, I can’t allow myself to go through that anymore. I can’t allow my brothers or my mother to go through that when they’re older.”
