Popular Afrobeat artist, Davido, has garnered praise after he reportedly ordered the release of some detained youths by police officers in Lagos.
A video circulating online shows a group of boys claiming that Davido instructed the officers to let them go as he passed by the scene.

One of the boys, expressing his lifelong admiration for the singer, confirmed during a conversation with a third party that the singer personally intervened and asked the police to release them.

He mentioned that he didn’t record the incident as evidence for sceptics.
Commenting on the incident, many applauded Davido for his compassionate nature and love for people.
This act of kindness is not the first time the singer has touched the hearts of others.
