Una don hear Nigerians?: Guinness World Records reveals guidelines to break & set record title

  • Nigerians believed they were referring to them and started to call names of people who might have attempted it without doing the due diligence.

A new guideline information that was just released by the Guinness World Records has caused a buzz on social media.

Taking to their official Twitter account, the Guinness World Records team shared that before anyone attempts to break a record, there are guidelines to follow.

They stressed the importance of the organization being well-informed through their guideline processes before an individual or group attempts to break or set a new record.

“Polite reminder that you should probably have your world record title confirmed by our team before attempting it,” they announced.

While the international body did not specify a country or an individual’s name who had attempted to set a record without following their guidelines, Nigerians have pointed out who they were referring to.

Shortly after posting an attachment of their guidelines, Nigerians believed the purpose of this new information was because of fellow Nigerians.

Many have shared that some Nigerians have gone ahead without doing the due diligence to break or set a new record.

Meanwhile, Halima Cissé of Mali has achieved a groundbreaking milestone by giving birth to nine healthy babies simultaneously, setting a new Guinness World Record.

Alongside her husband, Abdelkader Arby, they welcomed the nonuplets on May 4, 2021

The premature delivery occurred via a caesarean section during Halima’s 30th week of pregnancy.

The nonuplets consist of five girls and four boys, named Adama, Oumou, Hawa, Kadidia, Fatouma, Oumar, Elhadji, Bah, and Mohammed VI.
