Guinness World Records explains why Hilda Baci’s record was reduced by 7 hours

Meanwhile, Hilda Baci’s official final total was reduced by more than six hours, according to Guinness World Records, who also provided an explanation.

Hilda completed a cookathon in May 2023 over the course of 100 hours, but GWR recently certified her for 93 hours and 11 minutes instead.

The deduction was attributed to Hilda’s error, according to a website snippet from GWR. The quote reads:

“Hilda attempted to set a record of 100 hours, however, almost seven hours were deducted from her final total because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.”
