I started with 25k: 25-year-old female corps member becomes a Millionaire from okirika

A 25-year-old Corper Abdulrouff Opeyemi Meeinah, became a millionaire from her thrift business, which she started with N25,000.

According to her, she started her business on the 15th of August, 2022 and barely six months after she started making millions.

In an interview with legit,ng, she stated that she started the thrift business from selling chiffon tops she got from a vendor on Instagram.

Meeinah mentioned that she got the tops for 25k for 30 pieces and sold them for 1,000 Naira each which earned her a profit of N5,000.

She expanded her business

After she started with tops, Meeinah expanded her company to sell shirts after realizing how well and quickly the chiffon sale went.

She also said that she didn’t enter the business because someone asked her to or because she wanted to “copy” anybody else but went into the business because she wanted to.

Tik Tok app helped my business 

Meeinah stated that the TIk tok app helped her business to move forward and increase her sales. 

She said: 

“From then I started advising my business on TikTok. I won’t even lie TikTok really helped my business. Within a year I already have over 5,000 followers on Instagram and most of them are from TikTok”

Asides TikTok, she also used Instagram and ran sponsored ads on the app twice monthly.

Her advice to youths

Meeinah advised that young people should do what they have a passion for.

In her words:

So my advice for young people is that they should have passion what for whichever business they want to do it’s only the passion that will keep them moving. I have experienced bad bad things in the business ooo. But I’m still learning and I’m so happy I did not give up. I am currently serving and I earn millions”

Secondary school student opens business earning N41.5million yearly

In another news, A secondary school student brought up some new competition after he took up baking as a business and became a successful entrepreneur.

Justin Ellen, owner of Everything Just Baked started out as the youngest contestant on Netflix’s baking show.

 He made custom cakes from home as a side business while going to school.
