Nigerian singer Joseph Akinfenwa Donus, aka Joeboy, has candidly shared his experience with financial struggles during a certain period of his career.
In an interview with Dose Of Society, the ‘Cubana’ artist revealed that after achieving stardom, he faced a downward spiral and reached a point of bankruptcy.
Joeboy emphasized that despite his current status as one of Africa’s biggest artistes, there was a time when he was so financially drained that he had to close his bank account.
However, he aimed to use his story as motivation for those currently facing difficulties, urging them not to give up.

He assured that things can always improve, using himself as a living example.
Previously, Joeboy had disclosed spending approximately N50 million on his girlfriend over the past two years, although he acknowledged the figure might be even higher.
