“I was glad it was both of us, We really worked together in order to be where we were. It was the last thing we could do together in school before we have to leave each other,” Tyra said.

Their involvement in the school’s gallery group, where they displayed their artistic abilities and infused art into their scholastic journey, was one of note.

The twin Smith sisters left their imprint on graduation ceremonies as well as in the classroom. They collaborated to give an uplifting combined address at their commencement ceremony that had a lasting impact on the audience and their fellow grads.

They took the initiative to open “More than 28,” the first black history-themed art exhibition at their school.

These twins look exactly alike and both really enjoy theater. They teamed up with a company called Baxter International Disease to make a campaign that tells people about kidney problems. They also talked about this campaign at the STEM Challenge Showcase in Illinois.
