Intelligent Boy Who Walked 5km Everyday To Do Homework Gains Admission To 12 US Universities With Full Scholarship

A young and intelligent boy who walked 5km every day to solve his homework gained admission into 12 top US universities with full scholarships.

The boy identified as LaShawn Samuel went through a tough road in his academic journey as he struggled in poverty.

LaShawn lived in a rough neighbourhood where his home was constantly broken into and he watched his close friend shot and killed.

According to ABC6, he confronted several health challenges which he overcame.

To do his homework, he walked three miles (5km) every day from his home to the Franklinton branch of Columbus Metropolitan Library to study.

“I was excited I was going to college. Even if nobody else accepted me, I had this in my pocket.

I knew I had done what I had to do to get into college and my hard work was paying off.” Samuel said while speaking about his admission into 12 universities.

Samuel, who started at Ohio State University accorded God praise for all his success. He said he would’ve never achieved any of the feats without God.

He noted that obstacles or challenges would always come up. However, as long you are true to yourself and persevere, you can overcome them.

In a related story, a brilliant 18-year-old boy has been offered admission into 27 US Universities.

The young boy, Jonathan Walker, is from Panama City, Florida, United States, and he graduated high school with an impressive 4.85 GPA.

Jonathan Walker also won a combined scholarship to the tune of $4 million from top universities like Yale, Harvard, MIT, and Stanford.
