Koolcash: Nigerian woman allegedly makes N1b selling kuli-kuli in 2022

A Nigerian woman named Angela Job Emodiae has alleged that she earned a whopping N1 billion selling kuli-kuli in 2022.

The businesswoman who trades locally-spiced groundnut cake (kuli-kuli) made the shocking revelation in a now-deleted post on Facebook.

Angela revealed that her major clients are diaspora-based Nigerians who order the delicacies, and she ships the items to her customers using courier services.

To prove doubters wrong, Angela shared screenshots of receipts of payments received from some of her clients.

The Jos-based woman said her business employs many people who help with sorting and distributing her goods to make her job a lot easier.

A lot of controversies have trailed the claims by Angela, and many netizens have faulted the businesswoman saying she was not telling the truth.

However, others believed the story, saying God can enrich anyone regardless of the person’s business.

A publicity stunt

In another twist of event, Angela claimed in a new post on Facebook that everything was a “publicity stunt” that worked as she has become a topic of discussion on social media.

“So my publicity stunt worked? You go fear dragging people. People wet dem drag back to back dey try biko. See as I gave Nigerians work to do,” said.

Shortly after that, she made another post saying that she would release an official statement soon to clear the air.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian man who hawks agidi while dressed in corporate wear made headlines for his unique business style.

23-year-old Moses Eteng-Ubi’s strong desire to survive motivated him to begin hawking agidi (corn flour) on the streets.

During an interview with BBC Pidgin, Moses Eteng revealed that he dresses in a nice suit and tie so he can stand out and woo many more customers.
