The non-Igbo guy defended his wife, claiming that she was angry that day, which is why her disgruntled expression was captured on camera.

More than four months after the event, Mc Ugly Mouth, a Nigerian comedian who married an expensive Igbo lady on April 15, 2023, has clarified a widely circulated video from the wedding.
The man danced erratically while his bride stood quietly in the viral traditional wedding clip, raising questions about whether or not she desired the wedding.
The non-Easterner defended his wife in a recent tape, claiming that she is reserved by nature and was upset by her family’s unreasonable financial demands for the wedding.

He claimed that getting married in the East was highly expensive, but the people of his wife wanted money from him as if they were going to sell her.
He said: “…Let me explain to you what happened that very day. If you have married from the eastern part of Nigeria before, you go know say them cost, especially when you no be Igbo person you come go marry Igbo, you go know how e be.
“So that particular day my wife was pissed off. She dey vex well well say her family and those their elders wan kill us with billing. E come be like say them way sell her give me. That’s why her mood was like that.”
