I failed as a polygamist: Man who married two wives shares why he separated from them

A man who got married to two wives has shared how he was left with no choice but to separate from his wife because of social media.

In a lengthy explanation, Maynard Manyowa, a journalist published his story on News 24 explaining how he got married to two wives and how they separated.

According to him, the marriage was at the beginning beautiful, he explained that at the beginning, the wives were aware that they were in a relationship with one man but he later introduced them.

He narrated that after the introduction things were going well between them and his wives even called themselves sisters, however, things began to fall apart when he shared his story on social media.

Maynard revealed that his wives faced cyberbullying and it got worse that it eventually created an enmity between his two wives.

He explained that as it is now both of the women were not friends and he is tired of trying to settle their dispute because he has tried and failed woefully.

Maynard shared that he had no choice but to separate from the two women because of the constant fights.

“I never knew peace after that. Many of my days were spent firefighting, making concessions, arranging compromises, and appeasing both. When my first marriage (let’s call it that) ended, I felt a weight off my shoulders. The rest will have to be in part two,” he said.

Meanwhile, Maynard Manyowa advised men to stay away from polygamy because he learned a hard lesson from his own experience.

In response to a Twitter user who asserted that polygamy is the future, the documentary filmmaker shared his personal experience with polygamy.

According to him, a polygamist never knows peace, he added that as a former polygamist, he almost lost the woman he genuinely loves (his first wife) because of a woman he didn’t really want to keep.
